In this era of cinema, it’s rare
that a film gets made about a topic that hasn’t been covered
before. HBO Max’s ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ is one of those
films. Portraying the Black Panther party in 1960s Chicago, this
film does a good job of accurately depicting a historical episode
that also has relevance to today. That being said, there’s a lot
“right” with this film, but there’s also some “wrong.” What
exactly? We’ll leave it to hosts Jen and Paul to discuss on this
week’s episode of Out of Frame: Behind the
Scenes.
