What are the executives at
Netflix up to these days? Judging by their newest creations,
checking a lot of boxes and checking their originality at the door.
Their latest drama series, “Sweet Tooth” fits the
pattern.
In
the series, based on a comic book, a virus wipes out a large amount
of the population and fosters the emergence of part-human,
part-animal hybrid babies. The plot itself isn’t so bad, but
jamming in “socially acceptable” woke tropes anywhere you can, and
emphasizing dictation over demonstration makes the show
unbearable.
